Cheng Chau Yang, whom is a Malaysian living in Shanghai with her eight-year-old son have been banned by Shanghai Enforcement Court from travelling out of China since Oct 2015, on request of her ex-husband. Local women and child rights groups and Wanita MCA are backing Cheng’s family appeal to top leaders in China and Malaysia to intervene and lift the mother and son’s travel ban.
