Louis Tomlinson is seen partying it up with friends in his “Miss You” music video, but things may not actually be as great as they seem…
Uh oh, guys… Louis Tomlinson’s new music video just hit us all right in the feels.
The video, which was released last Friday, features Louis staying out late and seemingly enjoying, QUOTE, “a pint, or five” at the bar with his buddies. And although it all looks like a great time at first—because let’s be real, what’s better than a late night out with friends—the video is actually kind of… sad.
Based on the lyrics alone, it’s pretty obvious that the song itself is about drinking away regret and trying to pretend that everything is fine, but underneath the façade, the reality is that he’s missing a former love. We’ve gotta say, though… now that there’s a visual to go along with the song, it’s hitting us especially hard.
Even though the song itself is clearly about missing an old love, we can’t help but feel SUPER emotional over the fact that the “Miss You” video was released exactly a year after Louis’ mom died. In memory of his mother, Louis posted a beautiful photo of him and his mom on facebook, captioned, “A year has gone by since I lost my best friend. Always in my thoughts and forever in my heart. Love you. Always x.”
