Malaysia's Corruption Perception Index fell one below "passing mark"

Transparency Internation released their report that reflects Malaysia's performance for 2016. Malaysia dropped one point on the CPI index from 50 to 49.
Malaysia's country rank also dropped one position to 55 from 54. Transparency International Malaysia president Akhbar Satar says this is caused by leaders who pledge to combat corruption but fail to act against corrupt practices.
