Miley Cyrus pulled out all of her greatest hits for the most recent episode of Carpool Karoake with James Corden and, we’re not going to lie, the two of them had us all singing along at the top of our lungs.
Miley Cyrus hopped in the car with James Corden for a 13-minute, karaoke-filled car ride and once again reminded us why she still slays.
If you’ve ever seen James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke,” you pretty much know that he drives around Los Angeles with famous musicians all the time as they sing along to some of their greatest hits. Well, this week it was Miley’s turn, and she and James certainly did NOT disappoint.
Almost as soon as Miley hopped in the car, the two threw it back to the Bangerz era with “We Can’t Stop.” And although they were just casually driving around LA, Miley sounded AMAZING as she threw in some ad-libs and harmonized over James’s sub-par singing voice.
Miley even revealed that she is, in fact, a terrible driver, joking that she has a hard time even just pulling out of her own driveway! She even admitted that she shattered her entire rear windshield when she backed into the sound trailer on The Voice set! Yupp, and she accidentally outed herself for it, too!
Oops! Anyways, Miley and James continued on their journey while passionately singing a heartfelt rendition of “The Climb,” followed by everyone’s favorite, “Party in the USA.” However, in between singing all of the throwbacks, James got serious with Miley, asking her how she’s grown since her 2013 VMA performance with Robin Thicke.
Even though Miley got a ton of heat from that performance, she told James that it’s actually led her to being the activist she is today. She said, QUOTE, “ I realized that if that many people were going to talk about something that I did or something that I do, then I should make it a good thing, and I should make it something that could change peoples lives rather than be a controversial conversation that does nothing but become a fun Halloween costume.”
Wow! It seems like even though she feels “Younger Now,” Miley has actually grown up a lot! We’ve got to say though, regardless of how much she’s matured, we’re SO glad that Miley isn’t leaving her hit songs in the dust, much like she did with her Hannah Montana days.
Miley and James closed out their “Carpool Karaoke” segment with flawless versions of “Wrecking Ball,” “Malibu,” and, of course, “Younger Now.” But one thing’s for sure, 13-minutes of Miley singing in a car just isn’t enough!
