Better late than never? Miley Cyrus and Kanye West’s rumored “Black Skinhead” remix has arrived! 3 years late.
You might not even remember the buzz over Miley and Kanye collaborating in 2013 but you do remember her twerk fest at the VMAs, right?
It was after Miley and Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” performance at the Video Music Awards that Miley left her own VMA after party early to go hit the studio with Kanye. Sadly we never heard their song, rumored to be a “Black Skinhead” remix, until now. To what do we owe this impromptu song leak? Not sure, but we’ll take this Throwback Thursday treat. As for the song? We like it. It also features Travis Scott autotune and it’s a softer version of the Yeezus track, with Miley sampling Tears for Fear’s 1985 song “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”. Take a listen.
A little 80’s makes everything better. Neither Miley nor Kanye have spoken about this track, confirming its authenticity or otherwise. But from the sounds of it we’re convinced this is in fact the magic they made 3 years ago. In other Miley music news, she teased an indie sounding song on her Instagram yesterday. The subject matter? The green stuff of course, check it out.So I’m not sure about the lyrics, but the sound is fresh for Miley and we’re hoping for some of that on what Twitter is dubbing #M6. Miley captioned that Instagram video, “write dem sawngs bbq #photoboothsesh #iliketogethigh #thigh”. So we’ve got some stuff to talk about.
