I definitely think Miley would approve. Noah’s smokey vocals pair perfectly with the alt-pop sound, and she and British singer/songwriter Labrinth, who also produced on the track, are a duet-match made in heaven. Labrinth has previously worked with Ed Sheeran, Mike Posner, and The Weeknd, so it’s safe to say Noah chose the right guy to partner up with for her first single.
Noah worked on the lyrics to the song herself alongside Labrinth, and it sounds like despite being just 16-years-old, Miley’s little sis has already had some serious experience with heartbreak. In “Make Me Cry”, she sings QUOTE, “I never hated you like I do right now. Cause all you ever do is make me *teardrop sound effect.* While we have no idea who Noah might be singing about, she’s definitely taking a leaf out of sister Miley’s book when it comes to being raw and real with her lyrics.
