Sam Smith Drops EMOTIONAL "Too Good At Goodbyes" Music Video

Sam Smith really knows how to tug at these heartstrings. In the music video accompanying his latest single, ‘Too Good at Goodbyes,’ Sam, as well as couples – or should I say soon to be former lovers – start off in seemingly loving relationships. But, as the song goes on, viewers eventually see these relationships inevitably end because judging by the song, it just doesn’t end well for these couples.
Even Sam, after we see him slow dancing and hugging someone we can only assume to be his boyfriend, ends up alone.
A little depressing, right? Well, in his recent interview with Attitude magazine, Sam opened up about how his latest songs came from a pretty dark period in his personal life by revealing QUOTE, “I was in a really bad place. I got dumped, which wasn’t very nice. Writing music about that kind of thing is normally like therapy for me, but when I got dumped this time ‘round I just couldn’t write for about two months. My team had to force me to get into the studio, because I almost felt as if I didn’t want to do it anymore. So, there were moments on there where it got a bit intense and I started to lose myself.”
Now, I don’t know about you, but after knowing that, it kinda seems like this song and it’s video counterpart gave us all a sneak peek into what that dark period in Sam’s life was like.
