The 2015 BET Awards wracked in a whole new set of winners Sunday night and we’ve got all the details.
: Nicki Minaj , Chris Brown, the Weeknd, Janet and more were amongst the night’s big winners.
Nicki took home Best Female Hip Hop Artist once again along with the Coca Cola Viewer’s Choice award. And we’re thinking she was preoccupied backstage when the award was announced because she seemed a tad confused:
She got it together eventually. Best male hip hop artist went to Kendrick Lamar while Chris Brown remained the reigning champion of the Fandemonium award and also snagged Best Male R&B/ Pop artists. Terrence Howard held it down for Empire winning the best actor award for playing the infamous Lucious Lyon.
The Centric award went to the Weeknd for “Earned It” while Sam Smith took home best new artist. And by took home I mean the night’s co-host Anthony Anderson dressed up as Sam and accepted the award for him.
The legendary Smokey Robinson was amongst the night’s biggest honorees. He was honored with the Lifetime Achievement award while Janet Jackson was given the Ultimate Icon award.
