How cool would it be if Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus knocked on your dorm room door? That’s exactly what happened to some lucky college students over the weekend as Miley and Katy campaigned for Hilary Clinton.
If you’re 18, voting should already be hardcore on your radar, but for those who need that extra push, two pop divas can’t hurt.
Miley Cyrus hopped on a plane at LAX to jet off to Virginia on Saturday to motivate college students to vote by going dorm to dorm campaigning for Hilary Clinton. And knowing Miley, you know she went full out with her ensemble rocking patriotism like you’ve never seen it rocked before. Check it out:
Naturally, the students flipped out to find Miley at their front doors and were sure to get some selfies to memorialize the once in a lifetime experience. Miley shared two photos of the campaign trail on her own instagram saying QUOTE - "Campaigned for @hillaryclinton today in GMU in VA encouraging young people to volunteer and vote!!!!"
Fellow pop diva, Katy Perry also hit the college pavement on Saturday to campaign at the University of Las Vegas encouraging students to #standwithHER. Katy got students pumped on Twitter as to what was to come saying QUOTE - "I'm bringing the glitter...and the knowledge!" Earlier this year, Katy showed her support for Clinton by performing at the Democratic National Convention and she took the podium at UNLV on Saturday to motivate students saying QUOTE - "Both my parents are pastors and staunch Republicans. I didn't finish high school. Unfortunately, I don't have a formal education. But I do have an open mind and I have a voice. I'm asking you to have an open mind and to use your voice…Here's how I'm going to use my voice: I'm going vote for Hillary Clinton." She went on to say that she wants a future where she can marry who she wants and do what she wants with her own body, hinting at the candidates policies on same sex marriage and abortion.
