Miley Cyrus Reveals She "Struggled" While Filming Hannah Montana

To celebrate the start of the 13th season, Blake, Adam, Miley, and J-Hud all reminisced over what their lives were like back when they were just 13 years old. And we’ve got to say, for most of them, life seemed pretty normal! …With the exception of Miley, of course.
As we all know by now, Miley got her start on Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana at just 11 years old, and with the show taking off as quickly as it did, a normal childhood just wasn’t in the cards for her. She said on The Voice premiere, QUOTE, “When I was 13 years old, I was filming Hannah Montana. So, I was working.”
Although it does seem completely AMAZING to have had so much success at such a young age, we can totally understand why she feels like she may have missed out on some pretty important years. She went on to say, QUOTE, “I know Adam and everyone else will have these stories of ‘Oh, like I was in school, I was in whatever.’ I was working.”
And she was right! While Adam recalled memories of being totally uncool in school, and J-Hud looked back on the time she would spend dreaming of becoming a famous singer on the church steps, Miley remembered having a very different experience. She added, QUOTE, "I remember being 13, I had a real short attention span. I just wanted to hang with my brothers and sisters. I’m much more focused today.”
And her newfound focus shows! Now that we’ve moved past the Hannah Montana era, the Bangerz era, and even the Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz era, we’re ready to move on to even bigger and better things. Miley’s sixth studio album, Younger Now, comes out TOMORROW and we are FREAKING OUT! Based on the album title, it seems like Miley finally got the chance to experience some of the youth she’s missed out on.
