To say that Miley Cyrus has had a busy career post- Disney Channel would be a total understatement. The singer has already has gone through two major phases, and she’s ready to talk about the days where she wore that log blonde wig.
In the past, Miley hasn’t been particularly keen to talk about her time as Disney Channel’s IT girl, and it was obvious that she was willing to do almost anything to shed the Disney image.
With her new album Younger Now, Miley is starting to reflect on her past decisions in a new way and embrace them willingly.
In an interview with MTV News, Miley talked about how her Hannah Montana roots actually helped inspire the song Younger Now, although it wasn’t necessarily intentional.
Miley said QUOTE “"Now I can be proud of all the Mileys that I've ever been instead of trying to run away from the 11-year-old one or feel like I'm not Hannah Montana. I am stoked that that was a part of my life.”
Fans even noticed the similarities between Hannah and the Younger Now music video comparing a scene from the Hannah Montana Movie with the dance sequence.
We are seriously loving that Miley is embracing her OG Disney days, she said “"I'm not afraid of who I used to be. No one stays the same."”
Miley is even spilling Hannah Montana secrets that the biggest fan wouldn’t even know! During an interview on The Howard Stern Show, Miley talked about how she wasn’t originally chosen to play Hannah! She said QUOTE “They cast someone, besides me, first. And they even did a pilot without me and then they said it didn’t work. I love that I was f—ing Hannah Montana.”
Uhm, what?! We’re really glad that it just didn’t work with the original girl because we can’t even imagine what it would have been like to have a different Hannah.
During the interview we even got a snippet of what it was like during Miley’s audition! She spilled that she sang an original song she wrote with her friend about going to the beach, and then she even sang it!
We are feeling seriously nostalgic and will probably be listening to Hannah Montana playlists all day.
