For the most part, everyone gets embarrassed about a past memory or just their past self in general, but not Miley. At least not now. Before, Miley used to want nothing to with her past including her iconic role of Hannah Montana, but now, Miley is embracing it with open arms.
Miley opened up in an interview with MTV and talked about how she currently feels about all of her past Mileys. She said QUOTE, “Now I can be proud of all the Mileys that I’ve ever been instead of trying to run away from the 11-year-old one or feel like I’m not Hannah Montana. I am stoked that that was a part of my life. I’m not afraid of who I used to be. No one stays the same.” A lot of people could learn a thing or two from Miles.
Since we’re on the topic of her iconic past, Miley also talked about her fans speculating all the throwback references in her ‘Younger Now’ music video. The choreography was compared to Hannah Montana’s ‘Hoedown Throwdown’ as well as the opening scene, which was compared to Miley’s 2007 hit “Start All Over.”
I mean, it could’ve been a nod to her younger days, but Miley is saying that it actually wasn’t intentional at all.
Well, there you have it! On top of embracing her good old days, Miley also admitted that she’s no longer afraid of just being herself.
You would think that someone as confident as Miley wouldn’t be scared of being her true self, right? This just goes to show that stars, no matter how glammed up and cool they are, are just like us.
