SNL made the big announcement on Twitter revealing that Miley Cyrus will be kicking off the season on October 3rd, Amy on the 10th and Tracy Morgan on the 17th.
Miley is on a roll with the hosting stuff lately! In just a little over a week she will be making a triumphant return to the VMA’s as this year’s host because …well they wouldn’t let her perform. Next best thing right? But this isn’t the first time Miley has hosted SNL. She hosted back in 2011 and 2013 when she famously played Congresswoman Michele Bachmann in the “We Did Stop (the Government)” parody and it was hilarious to say the least. No doubt she’ll have lots of material to work with this time around.
And no doubt that there’s also a lot of excitement around Amy Schumer hosting the show judging from the fact that she totally killed it this year with her very successful show, Inside Amy Schumer on Comedy Central, as well as her film debut in Trainwreck. And this also marks a major deal for Tracy Morgan because this will be his big return after his tragic accident last summer. So no doubt lots of funny to look forward to.
