It’s official. It is scientifically impossible to NOT like Taylor Swift’s music. At least according to Saturday Night Live.
.
On this weekend’s show, in the “Swiftamine” short, a totally legitimate neurologist explains the medical phenomenon that forces you against your will to like Taylor Swift’s music.
Yeah! Don’t fret if you can’t get 1989 out of your head because it is physically impossible. Taylor is literally altering your brain. Following the very legitimate and scientifically proven explanation by Dr. David Doctor, a cure for the vertigo caused by this realization of your love for the music is called “Swiftamine” and it’s offered to free you of your Swift-induced sickness.
AND PS, not sure if you heard, but Taylor has pulled all of her music off of Spotify – Safe and Sound from the Hunger Games is the only exception. WHAAAT?! And for me that personally means no more TS music in my solo dance parties. In fact, Spotify issued a statement saying that the company hopes she changes her mind and joins them in building a new music economy that works for everyone, adding that 16 million users have played her music in the last 30 days and that she appears on 19 million playlists. FYI, Red was not on Spotify at its debut, but it later popped up on the site… and this is kinda funny, Spotify made a playlist in reaction to Taylor pulling her music. It’s titled “What to Play While Taylor’s Away” and it includes songs from 1D, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran and others. So have you gotten your copy of 1989 yet? If you haven’t, I advise you to listen with caution because there will come a time when your brain is chemically altered, but if so, no worries. Just pick yourself up a box of Swiftamine for automatic “Shake It Off” relief.
