When it comes to “doing it for the gram”, these celebs know exactly what they’re doing.
Last year Selena Gomez was the “most liked” celeb on Instagram, but this year that title goes to Beyonce. Bee’s twin pregnancy reveal photo back in February was not only the most-liked Insta pic of 2017, as of now it’s the most like Insta pic of all TIME! Considering Beyonce is our Queen, we fully support her winning the most-liked title thanks to 11.1 million fans liking the pic on Instagram.
Bee’s most liked 2017 pic beat out the previously reigning winner which was Selena Gomez’s Coca-Cola ad. That one had 6.8 million likes last year, which means Bee’s pregnancy reveal had almost twice the amount of likes this year. I dare anyone to try and beat that record next year.
The second-most liked pic went to soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, who posted a sweet pic of his girlfriend right after she gave birth to his fourth child. That pic gained 11.02 likes, so clearly Instagram followers are very into liking posts about pregnancies and babies.
Third place went to SelGo and her kidney transplant announcement pic, which received 10.3 million likes.
As for the most followed celebs, Selena Gomez still reigns queen in that category with over 130 million followers, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo with 116 million, and then Ariana Grande with 115 million. SelGo’s top 25-liked posts are filled with tons of pics from sexy photoshoots, pics of her and The Weeknd, and her epic Wizards of Waverly place reunion.
Other celebs that deserve honorable mentions are Twenty One Pilots, who had the most mentions of all the music artists in 2017, Colombian singer Maluma, who garnered the most Instagram Stories this year, and all the music artists who made the top ten for most liked music artists, including Selena, Ariana, Beyonce, Taylor, Justin, Nicki, Miley, J-Lo, Katy Perry, and Demi. Other artists out there--if you want in on the top ten, I suggest you post an epic pregnancy or birth announcement STAT.
