Neil Patrick Harris CONFIRMED to Host 2015 Oscars

Yep it’s official, Neil Patrick Harris can add Oscar host to his long and illustrious resume. The actor, singer, dancer, master-of-all-things awesome was just confirmed as the host for the 2015 Academy Awards. The exclusive report came via Variety that Harris will officially be EGOT-ing as a host. You know EGOT – Emmys, Grammys, Oscars and Tonys. NPH has hosted the Tonys, Emmys, he has the Oscars coming up and now the only show to tackle will be the Grammys. The former How I Met Your Mother star shared the news via social media, pointing to crossing “Host the Oscars” off of his bucket list. He’ll be following a tough act – Ellen Degeneres was wildly successful (remember her group selfie) – she apparently wasn’t interested in hosting in 2015, but lucky for us NPH is an incredible choice. I feel like I should also point out that he’s won 5 Emmys and a Tony, and he’s currently one of the stars of one of the biggest movies this fall – Gone Girl. With his charisma, we think the actor will appeal to a very wide audience and we’re dying to hear your reactions to this big news. Mark those calendars for the 2015 Oscars - they’re coming up on February 22nd.
