We finally know what Nick Jonas was whispering in Selena Gomez’s ear at that VMA after party last week and we’re about to give you all the details.
Ok so to be fair, we actually have no clue what Nick and Selena were talking about in that photo buuuuttt…we’re gonna go ahead and pretend Nick was sayin’ something like “hey Selena, I’m about to drop a track about how obsessed I am with you.”
So here’s the background – after this post-VMA photo popped up last week, the twitterverse and basically the interwebs in general pretty much decided that Nick and Selena were flirting it up, EVEN though sources debunked that idea, insisting that the pair were forced to whisper into each other’s ears due to the loud music. But, alas, no one seems to care about this reality and instead, the Nelena shippers are in full force. Flashforward to today and Nick Jonas has just dropped a surprise track on Sounbcloud called Area Code that even Billboard.com is saying could very well be about Selena. And here’s why – I’m just gonna let you take a quick listen
Okay so I case you missed it – that lyric said “You say I never been good for you/You can’t deny I gave it good to you.” Did you catch that GOOD FOR YOU reference – ya know, the literal title of Selena’s current hit single? Um yeah, cuz that happened. Not only that, Nick J went on to FAVORITE two tweets that referenced the possible fact that the song is about his girlfriend from back in the day, including this one which says: Oh my gosh. Nick. Selena. Never thought I’d be saying this again! Area Code references “Good For You.” And you know what I never thought we’d be talking about this again. And whether this song is actually about Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas is getting two thumbs for this move because it sure has people talking. And also, for the record the track is pretty sick, too. Selena has not commented on this – but as she knows and we know, all is fair in love and music. But what do you guys think about this? Is this Nelena love realness or did Nick jus oh-so-randomly happen to directly incorporate the title and lyrics from Sel’s song into his own? Very interesting. I want all of my fan girl detectives to weigh in in the comments and then click here to see us shutdown the most ridiculous Selena Gomez rumors of all time. I’m Joslyn Davis, thanks for hanging and we’ll see you later!
