Was the Maiden Voyage a Win or Lose?! This film is a Discovery Session about the Maiden, as well as the issues I have learned about or overcome on this build, and what I have installed since the original attempt to "cross the channel". It is shocking how many things popped up that were almost exactly like the first BBC Top Gear "Toybota" episode that was created! I wasnt able to cross the lake on my first attempt, I had sinking issues, electrical issues, drama, drama, drama, and we all made it back to shore safely, no matter what! HAH! Epic, to say the least!
Today I discuss the importance of removing the RED Wire from multiple ESC hookups, as well as how I installed a Bilge Pump. It is completely impractical and I love it it! Oversized, and Underpowered? It shoots about 15 feet.. so in scale - 150ft! Jeremy Clarkson may approve of this.
This truck weighs a total of 12lbs, and has a very small surface area for a "boat". Its size, shape and sinking potential is a hinderance to say the least, and it is about as inefficient is a project can get. I am on the right Path!! TOP GEAR TOYBOTA here I come..
Here are the BBC Videos of Reference
BBC Top Gear Car-Boat Challenge: Toyota "Toybota"
BBC Top Gear CAR/Boat Challenge: Nissan "Nissank"
I demonstrate the Water Pump, as well as hang this truck for you to see. Yes, you read that correctly. Let's go over everything.. and Im sure you will be entertained! Please leave a comment, let me know what you think of this crazy project! Have you ever seen anything like this before?
This truck was build on the "RC4WD LWB Trail Finder 2" Chassis Kit
