Riverdale RENEWED For Third Season + Madelaine Petsch Dishes On "Messy" Kiss Scene

Time to bring out the milkshakes and celebrate because Riverdale just got renewed for a third season!
Season 3 of Riverdale is officially happening and we couldn’t be more excited.
It’s pretty hard to believe that it’s been only a little over a year since Riverdale first graced our televisions. The show has completely enraptured its viewers and we seriously cannot get enough of it.
The show quickly became a fan favorite and after the first season finished they started working on the second season right away. We’re about a month away from the season 2 finale and as we have been nearing the end, people have been wondering about the fate of the show because no announcement had been made. Thankfully all of that changes yesterday when the cast and crew took to social media to announce that we’ll get to explore the town of Riverdale for at least one more season.
We’re hoping that the third season is filmed as fast as the second one was because let’s be honest, we’re super impatient and just want to know what’s happening.
The whole second season has had a much darker vibe than the first with more conspiracy, murder and mystery than we ever thought possible. As dark as the episodes have been, it has also given us some moments that we have been waiting for like tons of Bughead and finally a kiss between Cheryl Blossom and Toni Topaz.
Their kiss happened after Toni rescued Cheryl from conversion therapy and it was not only a super emotional scene to watch but it was difficult to scene, too.
Madelaine Petsch, AKA Cheryl Blossom, spilled to E! That because the scene was so emotional, the kiss ended up being kind of gross. Madelaine said QUOTE “So I'm, like, sobbing in that scene before she comes, right? This is so disgusting, but I had snot dripping out of my nose. I didn’t have time to wipe it, so this girl was, like, eating my snot. It was, like, in her mouth and after every take, I'd be like, 'Sorry!”
Obviously these two are professionals because it looked absolutely flawless on screen. Madelaine even went on to say that it’s a good thing she and Vanessa Morgan are best friends or else Vanessa would have QUOTE “disowned me at this point.” Every time we think it’s impossible to love this cast even more they do something that makes our heart burst!
