After Kendrick Lamar’s opening performance and Sam’s amazing one with all the talented gospel singers, everyone else who is set to perform can pretty much all go home now because seriously, how do you follow up those two incredible performances?!
Anyway, Sam took the stage at this year’s show to perform his ballad ‘Pray’ and believe me when I say Sam’s vocals and the incredible choir behind him literally took my breath away. Just listen to this.
To be quite honest, it’s not too surprising that Sam killed it on stage at the Grammys, however, that’s not to say he wasn’t nervous before his performance. Way before it all went down, Sam opened up to Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet about his pre-performance jitters.
Sam said QUOTE, “Singing in front of people is still nerve-racking. Yeah, it is. It’s mad. It will be fun tonight. I’m excited to get this lyric and this song out there and yes, I’m excited.” Well then, I guess it’s safe to say that Sam is pretty relieved now that got up on that stage and did what he came there to do!
What did you guys think of Sam’s performance? Would you say it was your favorite of the night? Let me know your thoughts on this in the comment section below.
