Selena Gomez DETHRONED Over Instagram Followers by THIS Star

Selena is now the second most followed person as soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has striped her of the title and position she’s held for years. The pop star and the world’s most talented and famous soccer player have been neck-and-neck for quite some time and just yesterday, Cristiano’s Instagram followers grew just enough to surpass Selena’s. To be fair, she hasn’t been active since September 23rd. As you all may recall, she announced she would be taking a break from social media posting- “Update: taking a social media break. Again. As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given. Kindness and encouragement only for a bit! Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings. Obvi.”
Shortly after her Instagram goodbye, Sel was admitted to a rehab facility to seek treatment for her mental health and we haven’t heard from her since.
While Cristiano’s account is mostly full of content for soccer aficionados, he also sneaks in the random underwear photos as well as pictures with his kids and girlfriend.
One thing is for sure, there’s always room for a king and a queen. Besides, Selena also confessed to not caring one bit about followers. During an Instagram live she said, “Numbers don’t matter, "None of this matters. I don’t care how many followers I have. I don’t. It’s insane so many people are obsessed. Like, chill out.”
So yes, everyone needs to chill. Just because Cristiano has 144,320,746 followers and Selena has 144,312,745 doesn’t make a difference. Interesting to note, Ariana Grande holds the third place, followed by Kim Kardashian as the fourth most followed person. Do you guys think Cristiano and Selena even care?
