Selena Gomez took to the Teen Choice Awards stage to accept one of the night’s top honors and Clevver’s Trophy Life has your hook-up:

That was just a quick look at Selena’s acceptance speech, where she was obviously very moved by the support she’s received from her fans in what she admits has been a hard time for her. Selena went on to say that she wasn’t trying to preach to people, but really just thank her fans for making her better. Then, in a really beautiful moment, Selena thanked her mom for being the greatest human being in the world, and she went on to say about her mom, QUOTE “she’s strong, she’s given up her life for me. Then she enoucraged everyone watching to show their moms love, too. What I loved most about this speech was that you could really tell Selena was sincere and speaking from the heart, and she was obviously almost moved to tears, but she was just so grateful to the fans who have been there for her for so long. Regardless of what Selena is going through, I want to point out that she is ALWAYS graceful, and loving especially with her fans and I think that sort of composure and integrity deserves a surfboard all its own.
