Nina Dobrev reminisces on all her Vampire Diaries success as she gives us all the feels at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards. Welcome back to another Trophy Life edition of Clevver’s Newsfeed.
First goodbyes are tough, but second goodbyes are double the sadness and Nina has just managed to bring back all of our tears since her Vampire Diaries exit in her incredibly heartfelt TCA’s acceptance speech.
The stunning TVD alumn took the stage (vampire fangs included) after accepting her second award of the evening for choice TV actress in a sci-fi or fantasy, and really quick, I think it’s very important to point out that she scored her other award for choice TV lip lock with costar Ian Somerhalder… just a minor side note.
During her acceptance speech, she attempted to give her thank you’s with the full set of fangs, but after finally taking them out, she said, “That’s right, I don’t need these anymore,” and the slight breakage in our hearts from her exit officially shattered to pieces.
But the rest of her speech gave us all the GOOD feels as Nina talked about the necessary changes she’s endured recently and reflecting on her time on The Vampire Diaries. Take a look:
She also takes this time to reflect on her character Elena, saying QUOTE, “I smile, because just like my character Elena, I started the show as a young girl, and together we grew up. We've grown up and over the last six years we've become women."
She wrapped up her speech by thanking her fans and promising many more good changes to come.
