Jeffrey Tambor Emotional Best Comedy Actor Speech at 2015 Emmy Awards

And on that note, a major congrats are in order for Jeffrey Tambor, who can now tack on an Emmy to his list of awards won for his work on the show Transparent.
Jeffrey celebrated a few “firsts” tonight as he took to the Emmy stage to collect his first Emmy, after being nominated in a lead actor category for the first time. He delivered a very moving speech, thanking his family and teachers, while quoting one of his favorite teachers, saying, “I had a teacher who used to say, ‘When you act, you have to act as if your life depends on it.’ And now I’ve been given the opportunity to act because peoples’ lives depend on it.”
Jeffrey also took a second to make a special dedication to the transgender community who had a great impact on his performance and in his opinion, are the reason for his Emmy win.
