8 BEST Moments From 2017 Emmy Awards

Shocking and OMG did that just happen moments go hand in hand with every award show known to man but the 2017 Emmys took those moments to a whole ‘nother level – as in, they literally brought out Sean Spicer level. Which brings us to one of our first best moments of the night: everyone’s reaction to Sean’s appearance.
The moment the former White House press secretary set foot on stage to play along with Stephen Colbert, EVERYONE went wild.
Okay, maybe not everyone but you could tell they were all SHOOK.
Some of the sketches shown throughout the night were pretty memorable too. Like this one where RuPaul portrayed a real life Emmy statue in a sit down interview with the host of the night.

Anyway, another memorable moment of the night just happened to be when Melissa McCarthy and Dave Chapelle went on stage to present an award. What happens when two HILARIOUS people go on stage together? Well…for one, some pretty interesting secrets were revealed.
Was that actually supposed to happen or was Dave just being honest with us and Melissa, like the pro she is, just went along with it? I guess we’ll never know for sure.
The cast of nine to five reuniting on the Emmys stage was a pretty big deal, I mean, it’s been 37 years in the making and it’s definitely on our list of best moments because how could it not be?
But I will have to say that reunion was kinda sorta overshadowed by Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgard’s smooch after he was announced the winner of Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.
Yeah, that definitely happened.
At the beginning of the night, Stephen made a jab about Donald Trump being nominated many times for an Emmy but never winning one. And Alec Baldwin changed all that when he accepted his award for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
It’s a shame it’s not a real award, right Donald?
And since we’re on the topic of the Donald, there were definitely a LOT of jabs at the president throughout the night. From presenters to winners and obviously the host of the night, any joke that could be made about President Trump was made and while there are literally too many to show – because seriously this list would go on and on – this one definitely stood out to us because I bet a lot of people can say, ‘same, Stephen.’
It was a little relatable, don’tcha think?
The Handmaid’s Tale made history for Hulu tonight when they won the Emmys for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series while their respective cast members won for supporting and lead actress. As incredible as those wins were, the show’s showrunner Bruce Miller said it best with a creative call to action during his acceptance speech.
I don’t think anyone else could’ve said it better than Mr. Miller himself.
