The first set of 2014 Teen Choice Awards are out and Clevver's Trophy Life coverage of anything and everything award show related has your hook up. The rundown is basically a who's who of young Hollywood, so let's kick things off with a category that is going to be tough this year -- it's choice music group -- going head-to-head, it's 5 Seconds of Summer, Fifth Harmony, One Direction, Rixton and R5! In the Female and Male categories, it's nothing but A-list talent all the way. The nominated ladies are: Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Lorde, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. And for the guys, Jason Derulo, Pharrell Williams, Pitbull, Austin Mahone, Ed Sheeran and Justin Timberlake are battling it out. In the categories, we've got a group of winners all around with Beyonce, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande Kendall Jenner, Rihanna and Bella Thorne repping for the ladies AND for the dudes, the hottie noms go out to One Direction, Zac Efron, Ryan Gosling, Liam Hemsworth, Austin Mahone and Ian Somerhalder. I have no clue how you guys are going to vote in that category, so good luck. In the movie and TV categories, there are just more of our favorites, to quickly recap, we've got Debby Ryan, Laura Marano, Mindy Kaling, and Kaley Cuoco nominated for Choice TV Actress in a comedy, while Claire Holt, Kat Graham and Nina Dobrev are three of out of the five nominations in the sci-fi/fantasy category (FYI -- Ian Somerhalder, Joseph Morgan, Josh Dallas, Paul Wesley and Tyler Posey are nominated in the male counterpart category, so safe to say that the Vampire Diaries and the Originals are dominating this year). Several of our favorite Pretty Little Liars actors and actresses received well-deserved noms -- Ian Harding, Keegan Allen, Troian Bellisario and Lucy Hale are all nominated, as is the show itself. A few of the notable noms in the movie categories include Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodely both of whom are nominated for choice Drama actor and actress for the Fault in Our Stars. FYI -- Shai is also nominated in the action actress category for Divergent. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth all received nods in the sci-fi/fantasy acting categories. And my friends, this is just a sampling of the many nominations! Plus, this is just the first wave -- there will be more announcements coming down the pipeline and you know that we here at Clevver are dedicated to keeping you all posted.
