2016 Teen Choice Awards First Round of Nominations Announced!

The nominations for the Teen Choice Awards are here which means it’s time for you to get out there and vote for your favorites. You know we’ve got you covered with Clevver’s 2016 award show season coverage.
The TCA’s are always a good time and what makes them even better is the fact that YOU get to choose the winners.
This year’s show falls on July 31st and the excitement has already kicked off seeing that voting opens today! So don’t hesitate to support your favorites, but for all of you procrastinators out there, you have until June 2nd at 12pm to cast your votes at TeenChoice.com, through the the FOX NOW app, or on Twitter.
And good luck choosing because the nominees are not an easy bunch to choose between. Justin Bieber, Nick Jonas, Drake, Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes, and Zayn Malik are all up for Choice Male Artist. Ariana Grande, Beyonce, Demi Lovato, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and Taylor Swift are all up for Choice Female Artist. 5SOS, One Direction, and Fifth Harmony are all battling for the title of Choice Music Group and if you think that one’s hard, try picking between “She’s Kinda Hot,” “Work From Home,” “Wake Up,” and “Home” for Choice Song!!
The categories get even more complicated when you factor in physical attractiveness as a common denominator. You have to decide who is the hottest between Austin Mahone, Cameron Dallas, Harry Styles, Jussie Smollett, Justin Bieber, and Zayn Malik for Choice Male Hottie. May the force be with you on that one. Not to mention that Adele, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Meghan Trainer, Selena Gomez, and Taylor Swift are ALL up for Choice Song in the Female category. Which means the universe is forcing you to choose between “Hello,” “Dangerous Woman,” “Confident,” and “Hands to Myself.” Take that one up with your musical conscience.
Naturally, the Kardashians are up for Choice TV: Reality Show, while Austin & Ally, Jane the Virgin, Liv and Maddie, Modern family, Fuller House, and Scream Queens are all nominated for Choice TV Show: Comedy. Both Empire and Pretty Little Liars are in the running for Choice TV Show: Drama while Deadpool, The Scorch Trials, The Jungle Book, and Allegiant are nominated for Choice Movie: Action/Adventure. And that’s not even including the actors! Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael B. Jordan, Jennifer Lawrence, Ryan Reynolds, Chloe Grace Moretz, Sheilene Woodley, Dylan O’Brien, and Theo James have all snagged nominations. In other words, it’s going to be one heck of a competition so be sure to vote for your favorites if you want to see them take home a shiny new surfboard.
