Selena Gomez Wants To Be Amy Schumer's BFF

Move over, Jennifer Lawrence! Selena Gomez has just secured herself a front row seat in the Amy Schumer fan club and it seems as though Amy is fully on board.
But we can’t really say we’re all too surprised by this because really, is there ANY celeb who doesn’t consider Amy Schumer their #womancrusheveryday?
Last night, many celebs gathered at the Beverly Hills Hilton to ring in the Hollywood Film Awards, where Selena Gomez presented her the Hollywood Comedy Award, and let’s just say Sel used this opportunity to GUSH over her new pal.
As Selena began presenting the award, she revealed QUOTE, “I talk about her obsessively. I've tweeted her often. I try to impersonate her and it doesn't really work. I actually just met her so basically what I'm saying is I'm really happy that clearly Jennifer Lawrence wasn't able to do this tonight because I love you."
She then followed up with a few words of sentiment for Amy saying, “Amy, you've inspired me not take myself too seriously when I sit on my couch and I'm depressed about certain things. You constantly made me feel I'm a bad ass even though most of the time I'm not. You say the things I wish I could say and you never ever make feel bad about anything I do in my personal life. "
After Selena then praised Amy for being the first comedian to QUOTE “speak to the women of my generation.” Amy took the stage, aaaaand leave it to her to cause the entire audience to practically be rolling on the floor from laughter.
She began her speech by reciprocating the love right back to Sel when she revealed that she didn’t even ask Jen to present her award, and that Selena was her first choice. She then addressed celebs including fellow honoree director Tom Hooper for his previous remarks about Amber Heard, who plays a ballerina in the upcoming film The Danish Girl, but joked that she’d be much better for the part because of this minor tidbit…
All in favor of Amy playing The Danish Girl ballerina, SAY HELL YES.
