Simon Cowell Says One Direction Was A "Nightmare" To Work With

When asked about what it was like working with the boys from One Direction, Simon half-jokingly said they were a nightmare at first. Saying, QUOTE: “They were like five puppies, really excited, loads of opinions, always wanting to hang out.”
But don’t worry, this didn’t make the boys mad. Instead they actually agreed! Louis responded by saying, QUOTE: “I’m sure we were a nightmare. There were so many meetings where Simon had to snap us to attention, but he was very patient.”
Simon went on to explain that he thinks Harry Style’s solo album will be great. Saying QUOTE: “He’ll work out what kind of record he wants to make because he’s got great taste, which is always a help. All the writers and producers want to work with him, understandably, but he probably won’t rush into it.”
What a proud dad moment! But when asked about his time on American Idol, Simon said
sometimes he feels like he wasted 9-months of his life. He went on to say how it wasn’t always easy and at times he felt genuinely miserable. Oh no, I mean I guess I understand. Turning talented people down and crushing their dreams must be hard, but seeing others succeed and grow within the music business is amazing at the same time!
