Zayn throws a shady response back at Simon Cowell and Niall Horan’s diss!
NOTE TO SELF: don’t mess with Zayn and his album sales!
Former One Direction member Zayn Malik has had ongoing beef with music mogul Simon Cowell since he split from the group. Simon has now dissed Zayn over his low debut album sales.
If you’re not aware the UK has a popular trivia show called The Chase, hosted by 56-year-old comedian Bradley Walsh. In 2016 Bradley dropped his debut album called “Chasing Dreams”, a collection of classic and original swing music.
To Bradley’s surprise he beat out Zayn’s 2016 debut album “Mind of Mine” as the highest selling debut album in the UK for 2016 selling one-hundred thousand and going gold.
In response to the news Bradley candidly told The Guardian QUOTE, “I just laughed when I found out. I thought it was hysterical. I am probably the oldest new artist Sony has ever signed. Niall Horan was sending me messages, laughing his head off. And I got big congratulations from Simon Cowell. He thoroughly enjoyed it.”
Zayn wasn’t going to take Simon’s enjoyment and Niall’s laughter about Bradley beating him laying down. Zayn cryptically tweeted in response, “It's a unjustifiable joke” followed by, “But it’s all good” and finally Zayn confirmed, “My Life is great :)”. Our guess is this response is only going to fuel Simon Cowell to further shade his former protege.
We wanna hear from you guys! Do you think Niall really laughed at Zayn’s poor album sales? And do you think Zayn should have responded to the disses? Next up, check out this video of celebs you forgot were British! I’m your host Tom Plumley, thanks for tuning in.
