Taylor Swift LAUNCHES HER OWN APP BUT HERE’S WHY FANS ARE WORRIED
Apparently, Taylor’s brand new app The Swift Life has turned into a HOT MESS.
Taylor Swift officially dropped her highly anticipated app called The Swift Life 4 days ago. According to the description, the app allows Swift fans around the world to share their experiences, discuss her music, and connect with Taylor. The app also features exclusive photos, videos, and news right from the source. And of course Taymojis. Our favorite part about the app is the fact that Taylor Swift can actually talk to fans directly. Her first post literally said “The Swift Life is available for free worldwide in the app store. See you there!”
It seemed like the app was the perfect place for Swifties to come together and gush about all things Tay. I mean let’s be honest Swifites make up one of the strongest fandoms. But just because people share the interest in a musician doesn’t mean they all share same the same beliefs especially when it comes to politics. There’s currently a lot of controversy going down in one of the features on the app that allows fans to talk to each other, because it’s seems as though it’s turned into a political platform over talking about Taylor. Like this user who wrote in the app, I hope everyone who voted for and supported Hilary meets Taylor. 1 like – 1 prayer to which fans responded, Why is this becoming a political spectacle? And another writing Really? So you don’t think people who voted for trump deserve to meet her?
Another example of a political post on the app is this user who wrote Republicans and trump supporters have just as much a right to be here as everyone there are people who voted for him or may vote republican but didn’t vote for him they may not agree with his beliefs but at least he supports our troops… sorry but everyone has a right to vote for whoever they want. There’s more posts on there that are pretty hateful and made me really sad to read and it’s clear that there is a real line being drawn between political parties on the app. What’s sparking even more controversy is some fans are alleging that political posts are being deleted by an unseen moderator. Many fans are just really concerned that there is some really hateful stuff on there going unchecked.
