Taylor Swift & Zayn Malik surprise us with a sexy Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack duet!
And we’re pretty sure we owe it all to Gigi Hadid.
Yes, this is a real thing. Taylor Swift has teamed up with Zayn Malik for the Fifty Shades Darker movie theme song called “I Don’t Want to Live Forever”. The collaboration is Taylor’s sexiest track ever, and combined with Zayn’s falsetto, we’re totally losing it over this song.
THAT is how you harmonize my friends! The song’s steamy lyrics sing about the overarching theme of the 50 Shades franchise: “Wondering if I just dodged a bullet or just lost the love of my life.”
Late last night Taylor shocked us posting the “I Don’t Want to Live Forever” artwork on Instagram writing simply, “Z | T | 50”. That post was followed by a sneak peek clip of the song’s audio.
No surprise to us, the collaboration shot to No. 1 on the iTunes chart and soon after Taylor shared a screenshot saying QUOTE, “Well that escalated quickly”. Zayn on the other hand simply shared a black and white polaroid of the two singers via Instagram. The selfie sees Zayn playing with one of Taylor’s cats while Taylor does her best cat impression.
We’re gonna go out on a limb here and say Gigi Hadid had something to do with this pairing. Well, at the very least the model deserves credit for Taylor and Zayn being friends and we’re guessing Zayn is singing about Gigi in his sexy lines.
Gigi gave her seal of approval for the song, tweeting a screenshot of her listening to the song on her phone, and then retweeted Taylor’s sneak peek clip.
