Fifty Shades was a huge hit at the box office this past February, raking in over $100 million in the United States alone. The movie, which follows the intense relationship between recent college graduate Anastasia Steele (aka Dakota Johnson) and 27-year-old CEO Christian Grey (aka Jamie Dornan), is based off of E.L. James’ best-selling novel of the same name.
Since the movie was such a success, Universal announced that it will be turning James’ next two books in the Fifty Shades series into movies as well. The second book in the series, Fifty Shades Darker, follows Anastasia as she starts a job at a book publishing company. One of the main roles that needs to be cast in the sequel is the part of Anastasia’s boss, Jack Hyde.
Rumors have been flying that Henry has been cast in the role, but he’s not confirming the news just yet. He told E! News QUOTE Basically what I can say is I can't say anything about it right now. END QUOTE
Henry also played coy when he talked to ET on Tuesday. All he would say is QUOTE How can I make this interesting? I think it’s probably best that I say nothing for now. END QUOTE
Charlize Theron is also rumored to be joining the cast, in the role of Elena Lincoln. But, she’s playing coy about the casting rumors too. She told E! News QUOTE I hadn’t heard that one. Wow, I’m just learning so much about myself on this carpet tonight. END QUOTE
The movie won’t be released in theaters until February 2017, so we still have a long time to wait. But, we think these two would be perfect additions to the Fifty Shades cast.
