It’s only been a little over a month since our worlds were turned upside down when Selena Gomez was spotted hanging out with her notorious ex Justin Bieber. If you haven’t been following the Selena, The Weeknd, aka Abel Tesfaye, and Justin saga, here’s a quick recap.
Selena and Justin were seen hanging out again. Selena and Abel broke up. Selena and Justin were seen kissing and then Abel was spotted leaving Bella Hadid’s New York City apartment. Phew, that’s a lot of info.
Just when we thought it was all over, Abel throws a curveball by unfollowing Sel on Instagram. Yes, it may be simple, but everyone knows that an Instagram unfollow is basically the final nail in the Abelena coffin.
Although multiple sources said that the two were going to remain friends post-split, we’re pretty sure that they don’t have any intentions of following through. We’ve only seen Abel hang out with Bella once, but we wouldn’t be surprised if he pulled a Selena and got back with his ex, too.
We have been getting serious nostalgia over all the new Jelena news, so much so that it’s already difficult to even remember a time when the two WEREN’T together. With the holiday season now in full-swing, we were hopeful that Thanksgiving would give us another peak into the couple’s celebrations. Unfortunately, we were left disappointed because Sel and JB gave thanks separately.
Justin returned to his home in Canada and played hockey, but Selena wasn’t there to cheer him on! Instead she was down in Texas with her family. Although they weren’t really together, we’re sure they sent each other some sweet holiday messages.
