The Big Bang Theory season 8 premiere went down, and fans cannot stop talking about Penny’s new hair.
Alright, so this debut sent serious shockwaves through the interwebs as fans generally were not pleased with the official show debut of Kaley Cuoco’s new pixie cut. I’m talking lots of drawn out “noooooooooos” and dramatic word usage, including “catastrophe,” “hate,” as well as references to the 80s and Felicity. I’ll get to that one in a second. But, come on guys, it’s just a freaking haircut… but if you’re a Big Bang fan, it’s completely understandable if you don’t think the look is fitting for the character of Penny.
And in last night’s ep, Penny turns down Leonard’s ask to drive to Arizona to get Sheldon out of jail.
That was a laugh track, people. Personally, I think Kaley looks hot and she can pull it off… but to each his own. Ah, and as for the Felicity references, rewind back to the old-school popular show starring Keri Russell… when the actor decided to chop her beautiful long curly locks mid-series, it was actually that hairstyle change that is blamed for the WB shows declining viewer numbers in the early 2000s. Yikes. So what did you think of the first ep of season 8, “The Locomotive Interruption”??
