New York probably isn’t the BEST place to put on a crosswalk musical because of all the traffic and everyone being in a rush and all, but that obviously did not stop James from bringing his hilarious production to the streets of N. Y. C. With the help of Zendaya, Zac, Hugh, and James’ backup dancers, the crew managed to put on quite the show for New York commuters.
The crew kicked off their crosswalk musical with what has to be the best rendition of Frank Sinantra’s “New York, New York,” ever.
Okay, calling that the best thing ever was probably a bit of a stretch, but it was still pretty good. Before I go into the rest of their performances, I just have to say that Zendaya had some of the best moments of the segment. During her confessionals, she compared James’ directing style to that of ‘Dance Moms’ – and not in a good way – and then she gave viewers all the deets on the madness that happened behind-the-scenes during the ‘New York, New York’ number.
And then when it was Z’s time to shine for her big crosswalk solo of ‘Sit Down, You’re Rocking The Boat’…this happened.
Guess the hot nuts guy just couldn’t wait until after she was done with her performance to pull his cart across the street, but hey! That’s New York for ya!
After that musical number, the cast then performed ‘The Greatest Showman’s show stopping number, ‘The Greatest Show’ which, may or may not have been better than the movie version, but we’ll leave that up to you to decide.
The show wasn’t over after that crazy number. The crew had one more number left and for their HUGE finale, they performed none other than ‘Fame.’
Honestly, this might’ve been the greatest crosswalk musical I’ve ever seen.
But enough from me, I wanna hear from you guys! What did you think of this edition of Crosswalk the Musical?
