Zayn Cancels Show Due To Anxiety & Gets Gigi Hadid's Support

Zayn Malik cancels his performance at London’s Summertime Ball with a heartfelt apology to his fans
Fans were seriously disappointed when Zayn Malik was absent from another scheduled performance, but he did get some love and support from his leading lady
Over the weekend, Zayn Malik was scheduled to perform at Summertime Ball, a festival in London that had Little Mix, Ariana Grande, and Nick Jonas, to name just a few, taking the stage as well. However, just hours before the festival kicked off, Zayn took to his Twitter account to reveal that he would not be performing his set as planned because of his anxiety. He told fans QUOTE ““Unfortunately my anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the better of me… With the magnitude of the event, I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career.” Now, Zayn definitely knew that his fans would be disappointed and he ended his note saying QUOTE “I promise I will do my best to make this up to everybody I’ve let down today.”
Unfortunately, the announcement that Zayn would not be performing still came as a major shock to the audience, with many concert-goers reporting that the crowd became so angry, they started yelling at the presenter making the announcement, and quite a few members of the audience just left.
But don’t worry, Zayn also got some love and support from his fans, and from his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid. Gigi posted a response to her man’s twitter apology saying QUOTE “We are all here to support you and make each experience easier. Your talent and good heart will never lead you wrong. Love you and so proud of you always.”
That was really sweet of Gigi who obviously had the best intentions when she posted her loving response, but of course the haters are gonna hate, and a few of the supermodel’s followers had a problem with how Gigi went about supporting her boo. One person tweeted QUOTE “ you would text him but for sure you’re so extra and you need everyone to see how “supportive” you are.” ()
Ouch. It’s hard to believe that Gigi was being anything other than a great girlfriend, but do you think she should have kept that between her and Zayn privately?
