Earlier this month, it was announced that Zayn had split with his longtime girlfriend, Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards. Zayn allegedly ended the relationship over text message and Perrie is reportedly devastated over the split. Poor girl!
The abrupt breakup apparently didn’t sit well with Perrie’s bandmates, because they’ve been throwing some subtle shade at Zayn for the past couple of weeks.
Little Mix is currently on a promotional tour in the US, making appearances and talking about their music. The first sign of bad blood between the band and Zayn came on August 9 when a fan brought a sign to Little Mix’s meet and greet in Arizona that said “Zayn is irrelevant, anyway.” Little Mix’s Jade Thirwall saw the sign, decided to take it with her, and then was photographed holding it, which caused a huge commotion on social media.
Then, during an August 11 appearance in Salt Lake City, the band decided to throw a little more shade at Zayn. While performing their song “Black Magic” the band sang the lyrics “crystal ballin’ just to help him see what he’s been missing” and Jesy Nelson pointed to Perrie! Burn!
Zayn must’ve heard about all of this shade-throwing because he just unfollowed the band on Twitter. This pretty much makes it official, Zerrie is over, and we’re pretty sad about it!
While Zayn just unfollowed Little Mix, he actually just started following Selena Gomez on Twitter, which is definitely going to start some romance rumors.
