Zayn teams up with M.I.A. for a collaboration on her final album...
Zayn’s solo career has been going strong all year, and now he can add a collab credit with hip hop’s favorite bad girl who does it well, M.I.A…
M.I.A. went on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show to share her new song “Freedun”, that heavily features Zayn’s vocals. The song will be on her upcoming and FINAL record, A.I.M. See what she did there? A.I.M spells M.I.A backwards! Yeah, you got it.
When asked what it was like to collaborate with the ex-One Directioner, M.I.A. told the radio show QUOTE, "I made this song a long time ago and it was always sort of mainstream sounding for me. If I was going to have a collaboration and have someone like Zayn, this was the perfect song. It takes me out of my comfort zone, but it takes him out of his as well.”

Woahhhh, this was not what I was expecting! It’s definitely a much more mellow sound than we’re used to from M.I.A., but I’m totally vibing this. Those Zayn vocals are giving me chills!! It’s the kind of song that makes me wanna put on some shades and body roll, but also eat a pint of Ben and Jerry’s and ugly cry to, you know?
