Zayn Weighs In On Taylor Swift Backlash & Reveals New Album Details

So everyone’s got an opinion of Taylor Swift these days. When The Fader got the chance to interview Zayn Malik about his new music, they took the opportunity to ask Zayn his opinion. Zayn also happens Taylor’s best friend’s boyfriend AND one of her musical collaborators.
The Fader asked Zayn about the love and criticism Taylor Swift is facing right now and Zayn chimed in saying QUOTE, “When it comes to anything that has to do with trivia about people’s personal lives or things that’s going on in their careers, I don’t necessarily pay too much attention. I don’t pay too much attention to what people even say about me. I just tend to take it for what it is when I meet them people in real life and have a conversation with them. If they’re cool with me, then I base my relationship on that."
Well we gotta say that’s extremely mature and rational of Zayn. No wonder Gigi is head-over-heels for this guy. But if Zayn rates people based on his interactions with him, what’s his opinion of T. Swift? “I rate her as an artist, I think she’s cool, I think she’s successful, and I think she deserves her success because she’s worked hard. That’s just how I look at it. I did a song with her, it was fun, she was professional. She gets on with my girlfriend, they’re good friends. I don’t have a bad word to say about her. She’s cool.”
Also on the COOL radar is “Z2”. Zayn’s sophomore album is headed our way and he says it’s 99 percent done. He wouldn’t tell The Fader any details like a release date or title, but Zayn did reveal a tour is in the works. And with his first single “Dusk Till Dawn” he proved a new sound is on the way as well. Zayn told FACT music news that his new sound is even more different than we first imagined, “There’s also some big rap tunes on there, so for those I needed different producers I haven’t worked with before.” UMM does this mean Zayn is going to be RAPPING on his new album? It sure sounds like it.
