Zayn takes home a win tonight at the AMAs but also takes an L for dissing is former bandmates
You just couldn’t help yourself could you Zayn?
What a night for Zayn it was his first time at the AMAs as a solo artist. Not only did he get to sit in the audience and gawk at his gorgeous girl Gigi host the show but he also won the best new artist of the year award. It all seemed so perfect and what should have been a shining moment for the singer was quickly overshadowed by his acceptance speech. He walked up onto the stage and when he looked at the shiny statue this is what he had to say
OHHH burn! Yes, you heard that correctly that was definitely a dig to his former band mates from One Direction. and with Niall in the building too man he is bold. But to give him the benefit of doubt he honestly has won so many awards with 1D that he is clearly baffled that he is being singled out as a solo artist. Yes Zayn you no longer have to share! but all in all he was super grateful
Regardless of his diss his girlfriend Gigi supported him anyway and showed him some major love backstage by giving him a huge hug. These two definitely have a lot celebrate.
