Well when the hosts of GMA asked her that very thing this morning, while promoting the new Spiderman: Homecoming film, she had to set the record straight once and for all!
But is it a co-incidence that her character’s name starts with an M? I mean, Mary Jane Watson is one of the most important ladies in Spiderman’s story in the comics. I have a theory that they will just call her MJ using Michelle’s initials which would be a solid nod to Mary Jane!
Zendaya has been on a major Spiderman press tour, and she also stopped by the Tonight show and filmed a couple of boomerangs or should we also say Boomerang fails with Jimmy Fallon:

And if you’ve been following all of the Spidey news, you also know there have been some rumors out there that Zendaya and her Spiderman co-star Tom Holland might have a little romantic thing going on and this latest Instagram story isn’t putting any of them to rest. Tom posted THIS Instagram story of himself with a cool leather jacket that he actually borrowed from Zendaya. That is according to Teen Vogue…but we definitely can’t assume that this means there’s a love connection just because these two share a style connection.
