American Horror Story Season 6 Theme Accidentally Revealed?

Fans are freaking out that movie website Rotten Tomatoes has listed American Horror Story season 6 on their site with the title “The Mist”. AKA everyone now thinks that’s the theme for upcoming S6, but that doesn’t really reveal anything does it? Coincidentally one of the dozens of trailers for the cryptic season from August 11 is titled “The Mist” and features a scary creature thing... and some mist.
What does this all mean? We don’t know. We have no idea. And we think that’s the point. It doesn’t help that FX network CEO John Landgraf admitted they have uploaded some QUOTE “misdirect” promos for good measure. Basically promos that that nothing to do with the season at all and are there to confuse us. Some think “The Mist” promo I just showed you is actually on the fake list, not on the 6 real trailer list. Landgraf DID confirm one of the trailers is legit. And one of the trailers directly relates to the premiere episode, not necessarily the entire season. A lot of the promos string together commonalities like a farm setting which we’re not sure has anything to do with Mist, or the season at all. Or maybe it does. So we’re more confused than ever, thanks AHS. I guess we’ll have to patiently wait until September 14th to solve this S6 mystery.
