Billie Lourd is about to go from Scream Queen to..probably something that still involves screaming...
American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that he’s tapped Billie to join the upcoming 7th season of the show. Ryan also added funnyman Billy Eichner to the season, and with Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters returning, season 7 is going to no shortage of incredible talent. Who any of these actors are playing, as always, remains a total mystery, but Billie was so fantastic as a deadpan sorority lemming in Scream Queens, we have no doubt she’ll nail whatever her role is in Horror Story.
As far as the plot of the show goes, Ryan Murphy has at least dropped some major hints, sharing earlier this year that the 7th installment will be influenced by the insane 2016 Presidential race, and will use election night as a jumping off point. But before you start picturing Billy Eichner playing Donald Trump--art apparently won’t reflect life THAT closely.
Ryan clarified his clues about the plot of the show, telling E! News QUOTE, "I think people literally think Sarah Paulson is playing Hillary Clinton, and I wanted to clarify that that is not true. Horror Story is always about allegory, so the election is allegory. It's our jumping off point. It is about the election we just went through and what happened on that night and the fallout of that night, which to many people, from all sides of the camps, is a horror story”.
Well we can’t argue with that. And we can’t wait to see what politically driven horrors Ryan and the cast are going to serve up in the upcoming season...
