Azealia Banks Lashes Out At Zayn For Plagiarizing Music Video

Rapper Azealia Banks has gone on yet another one of her Twitter tirades and this time, her target is none other than Zayn Malik.
Who knew that just a few similarities between Zayn’s ‘Like I Would’ and Azealia Banks’ ‘Yung Rapunxel’ music video would trigger a feud of this size?
So, let’s start from the very beginning, before everything blew up, shall we? Late Monday night after Zayn released his visual for “Like I Would,” Azealia tweeted about the video by saying QUOTE “So flattered by Zayn’s #YUNGRAPUNXEL style! Reminds me of when Gigi Hadid called herself slay-Z after I’d already come up with it. Gigi and Zayn are really big Azealia Banks fans.” But the tweets didn’t end there.
Early Tuesday morning, Azealia instagrammed a side-by-side collage of herself and Zayn and wrote QUOTE, “Damn Zayn be mood boarding the fuck out of me. I’m not mad about this though. Zayn is a cutie pie.” At this point, the rapper started getting hate from Zayn’s fans and she had to clarify that she was a fan of the singer. Clearly the rapper was just flattered by all of their similarities and well, it’s safe to say that things were calm between the two for the time being until later that day when Zayn started sending out tweets that weren’t directed at anyone in particular.
The singer wrote, “No lies … I see you reaching, but I don’t care. My at’s too good for you.” And that was pretty much when all hell broke loose. Not too long after Zayn sent out those tweets, the rapper immediately assumed they were indirectly directed towards her and she just went off on him.
Azealia quoted his tweet and wrote, “What isn’t a reach, is that a 4 track EP scored higher on metacritic than ur debut album.” She followed up that tweet with reciepts of what she was talking about then things immediately went from zero to one hundred real quick and Azealia launched into rant calling the singer racial and homophobic slurs. Well, Zayn completely ignored her rant and went on with his life and retweeted a few fans here and there.
Soo, after that kinda sorta died down, the rapper channeled her rant towards Disney Channel star Skai Jackson, but her Twitter tirade towards Zayn wasn’t over yet. It wasn’t until late Tuesday night that the singer decided to respond to the rapper’s harsh tweets by tweeting directly at her with “@AZEALIABANKS why you been saying nasty things about me? I wasn’t talking about you lol?”
Anddd then she blew up again. She tweeted things like QUOTE, “U.S.A. IS ABOUT TO TEACH YOU WHO NOT TO FUCK WITH!! When your entire extended family has been obliterated by good ol the U.S. of A will you still be trying to act like a white boy pretending to be black?” Yeah, things just get way worse from there. To think this whole thing blew up after a couple of tweets from Zayn.
