Azaelia Banks is back at it again with the Zayn Malik jabs. She commented on pictures of his new GQ shoot saying that Zayn looks like he used to be a girl.
If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it all. Clearly Azaelia Banks didn’t get the memo.
The master shade thrower is no stranger to controversy but many thought she was ready to leave Zayn alone after she faced serious backlash over seemingly racist comments she made about him previously. After the backlash, she did apologize and recognized that her words were inappropriate and unfair. So for a while it seemed as though peace had been declared, that is until Zayn’s QG spread came out yesterday and she stopped waving her surrender flag. Azaelia commented on the photos spread saying QUOTE - “He legit looks like he used to be a girl. He gives me transman teas.”
Once fans caught wind of her comments, people were quick to label the comments transphobic. Neither Azaelia nor Zayn have spoken out about the controversy, but with Azaelia’s long history of clap backs, surely it’s only a matter of time before she addresses the issue. The Zayn insult comes as a bit of a surprise seeing that she did go out of her way to previously apologize along with announcing that she was quitting facebook after feeling misunderstood. At the time she wrote QUOTE – “I'm seriously tired of peoples feelings. I'm tired of seeing their overly sensitive reactions and responses to everything. I'm tired of having everything I say or do be monitored and I'm tired of being told how I should be behaving.”
Then in her apology she said QUOTE - “I want to extend my sincerest apologies to the world. Employing racial/sexual slurs/ stereotypes in attempts to make fun of or degrade another person or group is absolutely unacceptable and it not fair or fun for anyone.”
I guess sometimes people have to make mistakes more than once in order to learn a lesson. But what do you guys think? Was Azaelia intentionally trying to be transphobic with her comment?
