From paying tribute to Prince to bringing fans on stage and performing some of her past hits, Yonce SLAYED the first night of her Formation Tour, but are you really that surprised?
Queen B offers nothing but the best for her loyal fans! Aside from debuting incredible new outfits during her show, the singer also performed a number of songs off of “Lemonade.” Yonce made sure she gave Becky with the good hair a little shout out during “Sorry.” I mean, how could she not?? Beyonce kicked things off by performing “Formation.”
And eventually went into some of her songs from past albums like “Drunk In Love,” “Run the World,” “Crazy In Love,” just to name a few. But, there was one song she couldn’t perform without a little help from two of her fans in the crowd. Bey called on two fans to dance with her during “Single Ladies” and naturally, the girls KILLED IT.
They definitely proved they could hang with Queen B and the gang! At some point during the show, the night took a more somber vibe as Beyonce paid a little tribute to the late Prince during her costume change. The singer made the decision to play ‘Purple Rain’ as a part of her interlude during the show and a fan managed to capture that moving moment on their phone.
While Jay was front and center in the crowd along with Bey’s BFF Michelle Williams, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne, the rapper did not join his beautiful wife on stage when she performed their song “Drunk In Love.” He was pretty much just there to support Bey, after all, it is her tour. Moments before the night ended, Beyonce gave Jay a very sweet shout out before she went into “Halo.” She told the crowd QUOTE, “I want to dedicate this to my beautiful husband. I love you so much.” That should definitely stop all the divorce rumors in their tracks.
But, the insane performances during the show wasn’t the only thing fans were raving about. Many of them even praised Beyonce for capitalizing on all the haters by selling shirts at her merch stands with the words “Boycott Beyonce” on them. I don’t know about you, but I definitely need to get myself one of those shirts.
