Billy Bush FIRED From The Today Show Following Trump Tape Leak

Billy Bush has officially been fried from NBC’s Today Show following leaked audio that emerged from a 2005 access Hollywood taping featuring Donald Trump.
After only a few months on the show, Billy Bush is making an exit.
If you missed it- just 10 days ago, audio of Donald Trump and Billy Bush leaked in which Trump made vulgar comments about women, including at the time, Access Hollywood Co-host Nancy O’dell. Bush was heard laughing and egging on trump in the conversation that is now public.
Just a week after Billy Bush was suspended from the Today Show for the matter- it seems as though the networks review is officially over and the negotiations of Bush’s exit are complete.
Just yesterday a note went out to NBC staff from NBC’s executive producer announcing QUOTE: "Billy Bush will be leaving the TODAY show’s 9am hour, effective today. While he was a new member of the TODAY team, he was a valued colleague and longtime member of the broader NBC family. We wish him success as he goes forward."
Bush released his own statement. "I am deeply grateful for the conversations I’ve had with my daughters, and for all of the support from family, friends and colleagues. I look forward to what lies ahead."
Matt Lauer also briefly mentioned Bush’s exit on the Today show this morning saying “all of us here at today with Billy the best”
Hours prior to the announcement yesterday, a CNN interview with Melania Trump was released in which she said Bush "egged on" Trump in the tape… She said Bush and Trump were engaged in "boy talk" and that Trump was "led on, like egged on, from the host to say dirty and bad stuff."
Well, I don’t think that’s true seeing as BOTH parties never thought this footage would have been leaked…
On the counter Bush’s attorney Marshall Grossman, told The Hollywood Reporter that, given his position as an NBC host interviewing an NBC star, Bush had no choice but to egg Trump on SAYING: "If Billy had been passive or responded 'Shut the f— up' to Trump, Billy would have been out of a job the next day."
Which I do agree with- as a host you have to make your guest feel welcome… You are WORKING and it’s your job to bring back to the network the soundbite you were sent out for- HOWEVER- Bush did take it to the next level after getting off the bus asking the soap star for hugs and being a little too sleezy.
Bush was promoted to co-host the third hour on Today only this summer, after 12 years as an anchor on NBC's entertainment-news show, Access Hollywood.
Luckily for Bush, he CAN work… That is if someone will hire him… The separation agreement with NBC includes no non-compete clause, meaning Bush is free to seek work elsewhere right away.
If someone does hire Bush they will get a lot of publicity because him being fired from NBC was such a huge deal- but I’ not sure a network will take that chance just yet… Soooo Here’s to hoping he got a big, big paycheck on the way out- some are speculating Billy could have gotten up to 10 MILLION, but nothing has been confirmed…
