And after bringing out The Red Hot Chili Peppers followed by a whopping 115 million viewers during Bruno’s halftime show debut, we have no problem with a second go-around.
After just two years have passed since Bruno Mars slayed in the middle of the Super Bowl stadium, it has officially been confirmed that he was asked to "curate" the halftime show, which most likely means he’ll probably be accompanied by some more-than-impressive guests, if he agrees, and again, we’ve got no problem with this.
The director of media events for the NFL, Sarah Moll, revealed to Billboard about booking Bruno again, saying that the initial conversation for Super Bowl XLVIII got going because she was a "huge fan" of his. She stated, QUOTE, "Myself and our producer, Ricky Kirshner, were both personal fans of Bruno and had seen him in concert and knew what he could do. And it was a lot of just telling folks here and getting folks excited about Bruno and taking them to shows and letting them see what he could do. And that's kind of what got it going."
Moll also revealed that her greatest accomplishment for 2014 was booking Bruno for the Super Bowl halftime special two years ago, as he broke the halftime record at the time. She added, "But I look at it really is Super Bowl 48 as a whole and the day really encompassed music from the beginning of the day all the way through halftime.”
