BTS wins big at their very first Billboard Music Awards
But was there any real surprise because let's be real, the BTS fandom is NEXT LEVEL.
It was a huge night for K-Pop at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, aaaaall thanks to the 7-member boy band, that is quite literally a global sensation, known as BTS. The Korean pop group took home Top Social Artist, an award dedicated to artists who take OVER social media, and because these guys are just that good AND their fans are actually the greatest fans on Earth, BTS basically breaks the internet on a daily basis, so no huge surprise on their win because they totally deserve it. However, this award also made the boys the very first K-Pop artists to EVER snag a Billboard Music Award, but if SOMEHOW you’re still getting to know these boys, their acceptance speech will instantly make you see why the world can’t get enough BTS..
See? Miley gets it. Now not only was this the first BBMA's for BTS, tonight also marked their very first American awards show... EVER, and I'm sure it will be one to remember considering they just beat out Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Arianna Grande, & Shawn Mendez to snag their first major American award. Congrats to BTS & to their amazing fans.
